Thailand, Thailand is located in Southeast Asia shareing its borders with Burma, Cambodia, Laos, and Malaysia. Thailand has a constitutional monarchy, with a Prime Minister as head of government, and the king as head of state. Thailand’s population is about 69 million. About three-quarters of Thailand’s population is Thai. The next largest ethnic group are the Chinese, followed by minority groups like the Mons and Khmers.

Visa

You are able to refer to the Royal Thai Embassy website to check on the type of visa required in advance for your country. Thailand grants 15, 30 and 90-day entry permits and visas on arrival to citizens of many other countries.

If overstaying more days stipulated on your visa or entry permit, a 500 Baht fine is imposed for every day stayed over the limit. The fine is paid before you are allowed to leave the country. So extend your visa or re-entry permit if you do not plan to leave the country before the time you are supposed to.

 

Vaccinations

In general, doctors may recommend a Hepatitis B vaccination and possibly other medications and immunizations depending on your general health and the regions visiting. For the most part, vaccinations are not required before visiting Thailand, but there are some precautions you should and can take that you can learn more at the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) website

Public Transport in Bangkok

Taxis is the easiest and most convenient way of getting around Bangkok. There are ample number of taxis that may be flagged down in Bangkok. On cabfare estimates and charges, check Bangkok Taxi Fare. From the airport to BIDC, the cabfare should in general not costs more than THB200.

Alternatives of public transport that is safe to use without the worry of taxi charges is travelling around Bangkok by the underground train (MRT) and the skytrain (BTS).
