The Thailand Pavilion exhibits the world’s paradise for medical healthcare and cultural wellness with JCI Accredited Bangkok International Center (BIDC) and its dental clinic network group as one of the leading dental providers in the world.

What is the Thailand Pavilion at World Expo 2025 about?

The Thai Pavilion is located in the Connecting Lives zone. Thailand’s special theme is “THAILAND Connecting Lives for Greatest Happiness”, with the exhibit building dubbed “VIMANA THAI”. The pavilion showcases Thailand’s modern medical advancements, herbal practices, food and wellness culture.

The Ministry of Public Health is designated as the primary entity responsible for Thailand’s involvement, appointed by the cabinet to present Thailand as an International Medical Hub. Thailand is under policies to transform into a hub for medical and dental tourism with emphasis on healthcare enhancements to relevant people’s quality of life. Thailand promotes the use and synergy between modern medical practices and traditional techniques to encourage holistic wellbeing.

The exhibit represents the essence of Thai culture and identity, inspired by the concept “SMILE”, to be a world destination for happiness:

BIDC as a Leader in Dentistry and Dental Tourism for Thailand at the World Expo 2025

Between 1st August to 30 September, Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) was invited to the world expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. BIDC participates in The Thailand Pavilion at Osaka’s Japan World Expo 2025, establishing Thailand as an International Medical and Wellness Hub. The hall’s theme shows 100 potentialities of the Thai Public Health System, 1,000 medical facilities, 1,000,000 Smiles of Impression. Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) is proud to be part of Thailand Pavilion World Expo 2025, showcasing its world-class dental excellence, innovation, and patient care.

BIDC is the first and longest standing clinic in Thailand to achieve the American based Joint Commission International (JCI) standards, being re-awarded accreditation many rounds since 2012. The JCI accreditation imposes high levels of patient safety and quality standards within ambulatory care centers, meaning that BIDC patients are assured to receive uniform and high-level patient care across all services.

The dental group has also received numerous quality awards including International Standard Organization (ISO) certifications, and the highest level of Thai Dental Clinic Accreditation (TDCA) from Thai Dental Council, the Department of Medical Services, and the Ministry of Public Health, for providing outstanding dental care according to international and national standards. What is the World Expo?

The World Expo is an international exhibition held every 5 years where countries come together to showcase innovations, culture, and ideas. The world expo is one of the oldest and most prestigious global events organised by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). The world expo revolves around a theme that reflects global issues and showcases inspirational solutions.

Each country participating in The World Expo builds a pavilion, a space designed to highlight the country’s culture and tell a story about its advancements in technology, sustainability, industry or social development.

Past World Expos

The expo theme shapes the events, performances and design of pavilions. Historically, creating iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower (1889 World Expo), and the human-centric smart city; Expo City Dubai (2020 World Expo). What makes the world expo special is the blending of culture, diplomacy and innovation which results in these world-renowned collaborations.

Current World Expo 2025

This year the world expo’s central theme is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” taking place in Osaka, Japan. The theme is broken down into sub themes: Saving Lives, Empowering Lives, and Connecting Lives. The expo aims to explore how individuals and organizations can contribute to a sustainable society through co-creation and international collaboration.

The Expo is located on the artificial island Yumeshima in Osaka’s bay, a few minutes walk from the Yumeshima metro station. The venue of the 2025 World Expo covers 155-hectares of land spit into 8 thematic zones: Connecting Lives, Saving Lives, Empowering Lives, Signature Zone, Forest of Tranquility, Future Life Zone, West Gate and East Gate.

Osaka’s world expo costs are estimated to reach 235 billion yen ($1.6 billion USD) for construction of the venue alone. Visitors are able to explore over 150 country pavilions highlighting the country’s best offerings, and a total of 188 different pavilions including many thematic pavilions featuring concepts such as sustainability or technology.

In its 184-day run (April 13th to October 13th, 2025) the expo anticipates 28.2 million visitors. The expo is a celebration of international cooperation, featuring the best each country has to offer.

During this year’s 2025 theme, visitors can view The Grand Ring, built using traditional Japanese joinery techniques, covering over 60,000 square meters, making it the largest wooden structure on earth. You can also visit the specially designed pavilions including the Thailand Pavilion where BIDC’s booth is located.
