By combining passive self-ligating brackets with high-tech arch wires, the self-ligating braces is a mechanical system allowing low forces to work in together with the biological facial muscles, bone and tissue with low forces.

The original and Damon Q braces are metal based self-ligating brackets with a unique clip mechanism in holding the archwire. These self-ligating braces use a slide mechanism to hold the wire, which allows teeth to move more freely, quickly and comfortably.

Damon3 consists of brackets that are half metal and half clear. Orthodontic treatment with this version of braces are more aesthetics pleasing yet still following the main self-ligating braces concept that the original braces utilizes.
