Thailand's First JCI Dental Center
On July 9th 2025, BIDC (Bangkok International Dental Center) was assessed according to Thai Dental Clinic Accreditation (TDCA) standards at the TDCA 2303 level. The certifications level is considered its highest level for dental clinics in Thailand.
The TDCA criteria standards are jointly developed by the Thai Dental Council, the Department of Medical Services, and the Ministry of Public Health. Its aim is to enhance the quality and safety of dental services in Thailand and provides a benchmark for excellence. TDCA assures that the country’s dental clinics are committed to providing top quality dental services in each step of a patient’s treatment process and journey.
Thai Dental Clinic Accreditation (TDCA)
Thai Dental Clinic Accreditation (TDCA) is a dental quality assurance system developed in collaboration with Thailand’s national public health and dental agencies to improve the standards of clinics to be safe, give service of high-quality, and to provide the highest level of confidence for service recipients.
What is TDCA?
TDCA refers to Thai Dental Clinic Accreditation. Unlike hospital standards, like the Joint Commission International (JCI) that looks an overall medical care, or International Standard Organization (ISO) that focus on quality improvement systems. The TDCA standards are specific to dental care processes.
The TDCA assessment criteria was developed to increase the quality and safety of dental care. Currently, the TDCA criteria are divided into 3 levels: TDCA 2301, TDCA 2302 and TDCA 2303. Each level is designed to assess the readiness of the clinic.
TDCA 2030 is the highest level accreditation for clinics which are fully prepared, have the equipment, developed documentation systems, and comprehensive and strong service processes. In other words, TDCA is a “step-by-step criteria for excellence” in quality and safety of dental treatments. Clinics that are certified according to TDCA 2303 are considered to have passed the highest national standards in providing dental services, which meet international standards.

- It is a requirement to provide tools, documentation and management systems in all service areas
