Visa

You are able to refer to the Royal Thai Embassy website to check on the type of visa required in advance for your country. Thailand grants 15, 30 and 90-day entry permits and visas on arrival to citizens of many other countries.

If overstaying more days stipulated on your visa or entry permit, a 500 Baht fine is imposed for every day stayed over the limit. The fine is paid before you are allowed to leave the country. So extend your visa or re-entry permit if you do not plan to leave the country before the time you are supposed to.

Vaccinations

In general, doctors may recommend a Hepatitis B vaccination and possibly other medications and immunizations depending on your general health and the regions visiting. For the most part, vaccinations are not required before visiting Thailand. There are however some precautions you should.

The DDC is Thailand’s Department of Disease Control or basically the CDC of Thailand is a sub-department under the Ministry of Public Health. The DDC department currently publicizes the latest information in Thailand about the virus updates: 
  • advice, knowledge, situation and press releases on Coronavirus disease (COVID19) within Thailand
  • recommendations to prevent the novel coronavirus 2019
  • information to foriegn travellers staying in Thailand during this period

Public Transports in Thailand

Thailand transport

Taxis is the easiest and most convenient way of getting around Bangkok. There are ample number of taxis that may be flagged down in Bangkok. On cab fare estimates and charges, from suvarnabhumi airport to BIDC, the cab fare should in general not costs more than THB250.

Alternatives of public transport that is safe to use without the worry of taxi charges or communication is traveling around Bangkok by the skytain or underground
